Head Start Teacher Assistant

Hampton, AR:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Oversee day-to-day operations, supervise staff, and provide care and education to children using agency developmentally appropriate curriculum and assessment. Ensure compliance with Head Start Performance Standards, Arkansas Minimum Licensing requirements, and other federal and state regulations. Ensure progress in all areas of child development and early learning as outlined in the Head Start Child Development and Early Learning Framework, Teaching Strategies Gold, and Kindergarten School Readiness Skills. Food Transporter

Location: Magnolia, AR

Transport food in the agency provided containers from food preparation kitchens to agency centers in the time required to meet CACFP mealtime pattern guidelines. Assist with food service, set up and clean up the meal time environment, maintain a safe and sanitary environment according to state and federal guidelines, transport containers back to food preparation kitchens if applicable. Have and maintain a valid Driver’s license and vehicle insurance, have an initial health examination, pass state Criminal Background Check, Central Registry Check, and FBI Background Check.

Cook Assistant

Location: El Dorado, Arkansas

Assist Cook in kitchen management and food preparation in accordance with State, County, CACFP, and Head Start Performance Standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities. Assist Cook in all areas of food ordering and preparation in accordance with Head Start Performance Standards and the Child Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). Assist Cook in monitoring food allergies and dietary conditions of children and prepare food accordingly. Assist with paperwork and reports according to agency policies and procedures and CACFP guidelines and regulations. Set up and clean up meal time environment. Serve as an advocate and liaison between family and community services and in collaboration with center staff, work to ensure children and families receive comprehensive services according to Head Start Performance Standards. Responsible for providing services to parents of Early Head Start children and expectant mothers. Complete the Family Assessment and develop a plan of action to meet family needs and goals, conduct a minimum of two home visits per year with each family, meet with expectant mothers weekly and conduct home visits after delivery to assist with the transition of the infant into the classroom setting, make referrals and schedule appointments for services, recruit new families for the program, ensure that children are up to date on all health-related issues, maintain child records, and submit reports as required.
